A whole 7 days without Mexican food so the mention of margaritas means a visit to whatever Mexican restaurant that's near whose margaritas are known to be some of the best. Habanero Hots fit the bill so we headed out for the 10 minute drive from our hotel.
The restaurant is in a strip mall, the front isn't anything special but once you walk in, you're immersed in everything that great about Mexican food including a large display of hot sauces.
A 4 minute wait until we were whisked off to the dining room. Chips, salsa and drink orders were taken. Salsa arrived mild so we ask our server Laura to kick things up...and boy did she. I think I lost feeling in my lips for about 10 minutes. We loved it!
Guacamole was a must, it helped ease the heat and was super delicious coupled with the hot salsa. I couldn't make up my mind so Laura suggested something off the menu - a triple entree combo, small portions of the top 3 entrees on one plate. Chicana steak, Chile Colorado and Chile Verde...all 3 were delish and the plate was the perfect size for sharing. The chips weren't my fav, I've had much better. The flour tortilla chips in the guacamole were wonderful.
Laura was a terrific server, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. It was a pleasure to be served by her. Enjoyed our meal and the service. The restaurant to the hotel was only a short drive and after a long drive from Hetch Hetchy, the last thing we wanted to do was drive far. This place was a fantastic choice. -

Completely Impressed!
We came here at the recommendation of a local. We were completely impressed. The staff was so attentive in refilling our drinks. Our waitress was spot on with the fajita and carne Asada recommendation! The food was unbelievably tasty and portions were huge. Everyone left with leftovers and the prices were reasonable.
We live about 25 minutes away but I know we will make it back here when we want authentic Mexican food, friendly staff and pleasurable atmosphere. -

We've been searching for some good Mexican food in Lodi. We just moved here from southern Cali and we never realized how different Mexican food is here compared to there. We've tried a few different spots and this place so far is our favorite. We went on a Friday night about 6pm and the parking lot was full. I was expecting to wait for a table, but we were seated right away. The inside is so cute and really big. There was something to look at in every room.
They serve you chips and salsa. The chips were a little to thick for my Liking and they were not warm. My kids loved the way they served the chicken fingers, from the kids meal in a little basket and it was given with plenty of fries. The shredded beef chimichanga was really good, as well as the rice and beans. My son got chicken enchiladas, but didn't really care for them. Overall, we will be going back. -

If you have a hearty appetite and like it a little spicy, dine at HH. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant, even when I pronounced fajitas wrong, the waitress understood what I was ordering.
Fresh and warm chips, delicious tostadas, sizzling fajitas and full service bar. Don't forget to ask for a Habanero -

Always a great meal and great service.....
Like this place as it's not the typical Mexican food spot. The salsa is great and fresh and the bottomless gravy and cheese is the best I can just get a spoon and eat it by itself.
Tried the bean and chorizo dip and it was great.... not a fan of chorizo but I really kicked this.....
The chili Colorado also is very good. They make it with tri tip so it is very lean and really really good. Only place I will eat chilli Colorado at... most places you are just eat less quality beef stew meat with tons of fat.... there had zero fat so my plate was cleaned when I was done.
